Today was actually a good day, even though it started with me fighting to keep my eyes open at work. But hey—I got to work with my husband, so that automatically makes everything better.

After work, we had this grand plan to run errands and make a whole “fun shopping day” out of it. Naturally, we kicked it off the classy way—with pickle shots (my favorite, obviously). From there, we hit the road toward Lansing because our new car desperately needed front tires, and that’s usually where we get them done.
Well… plot twist. When we got there, they told us they had no appointments until Tuesday. Total buzzkill. And since there wasn’t really anything else in Lansing that caught our interest, we just turned right back around and headed home.

By the time we got back, neither of us had the energy to go out again. So, we made the executive decision to stay in, cast our phones to the smart TVs, and do a little online shopping together. Payday had just hit, so we stocked up on all the necessities and extras for the next two weeks. (Grown-up win!)
Of course, as soon as I started looking into bills, payday basically disappeared in front of my eyes. Money? Gone. But honestly, that’s okay—because all the bills are covered, everything important is taken care of, and we still ended up with a little bit of fun money.

I dropped hubby off at work later, and—wouldn’t you know it?—my paycheck hit right after. So suddenly we were back to “balling” status again. Bills paid, fridge stocked, a little shopping budget left over… yeah, I’ll take it.
Once Jay was at work, I curled up at home and hopped back on Amazon. Lately I’ve been working on this pink bundle project, so naturally my search spiraled straight into stationery. Pink stationery, of course—because if I’m going to obsess over something, it might as well be cute and coordinated.
