Pink Cleaning Closet With pink clothes and run

You ever have one of those days where you actually feel like a functioning adult? Yeah, that was me today—and I’m still shocked.

Today was a good day. I woke up way better than yesterday (translation: not resembling a zombie). When we got home from work this morning, we did a little “mini reset” in the den—fluffed up, tidied, zhuzhed, all that good stuff—and then tackled the hallway closet project.

Amazon must’ve sensed my organizing streak, because they delivered right on time: another storage container (hello, hallway closet upgrade) and the final boss of my decluttering saga—the jewelry organizer. With that, I officially evicted the last non-storage thing from the closet and turned it into a full-blown stockpile zone. Dog diapers? Check. Extra shampoos, body washes, and random hygiene goodies? Check. All that’s left is moving the cleaning products upstairs, because why should bleach get prime real estate under the sink when I’ve got a storage closet worthy of Costco-level hoarding?

After sleeping a bit, I hopped in the shower. Walmart delivered my shampoo and conditioner today—except plot twist—they didn’t have the moisture-rich TRESemmé I ordered, so I got stuck with the volume one. Honestly? Not mad about it. My hair felt so soft. I just ran my wet brush through it, skipped all the styling, and let it do its thing.

Then it was errand-palooza: dropped hubby at work, hit the dispensary (picked up disposables, prerolls, and some edibles—tomorrow’s day off is looking very promising), and circled back to hubby’s job before heading home. Hair still air-drying this whole time, looking like it had its own personality.

Once I got home, I turned into a beauty salon. I set up my mirror, lash glue, and a pack of individual lash clusters, popped those babies on while the fur babies got their playtime, and honestly? I felt unstoppable. Then I got distracted by FreePrints. We decided last month we’re doing monthly photo orders—not just prints, but also a photobook and a poster because apparently I think I’m running a mini Hallmark. So there I was, lost in photo-picking land, until I realized it was already hair time.

I did a quick blow-dry to get rid of any damp spots (because curling slightly-wet hair sounds like a fast track to crispy, smelly strands), put in my fave heat-protectant oil, and went in with the curling wand. Normally, I load up on leave-ins like K-Pak sprays, but today I kept it simple—oil really seals the deal for me anyway.

I set my “you better stop curling or you’ll be late” alarm for 9:35pm and, boom, finished at 9:30. Just enough time to pack my work bag, tuck the fur babies in their room, and head out the door like a semi-put-together adult.

📌 Perfect For:

  • Anyone wanting to save more and spend smarter
  • Tracking household expenses, small business finances, or personal budgets
  • Building a stress-free money management routine
