Okay, so the last two nights off sounded like the perfect recipe for rest and productivity… but, as always, I ended up on one hell of a side quest. Our house isn’t exactly what you’d call conventional décor—it’s more like controlled chaos with a splash of “what even is that doing here?” The den room especially has been looking like Hobby Lobby exploded inside it: crafts, papers, binders, printers… if you can name it, it was probably hiding in there somewhere.

So, I rolled up my sleeves and tackled it. Did I deep clean? Questionable. Did I organize shelves like my life depended on it? Absolutely. And honestly, organized shelves do count as cleaning in my book.

In between moving piles of glitter and notebooks, I also tried wrangling Notion into something useful. That app is basically a beast dressed in cute pastel icons. I managed to set up a database for our work schedules and another for to-do lists, but then my brain did the whole “okay, now what?” spiral. I have so many ideas. So much time. So many goals. And about 500 hats I’m trying to wear at once.

Like—I want to build a website. And open an Etsy. And be a full-on productivity queen. Hubby and I talked last week, and the only thing I truly know about myself is this: I want to own a business. Period. We even brainstormed how to overcome some obstacles—thank you AI, for making the dream slightly less terrifying—but my biggest hurdle now? Actually doing the dang things. And, you know, figuring out what order to do them in without feeling like a chicken running around in 17 different directions.

Because here’s the thing: I want to write blogs, make Pinterest posts, design printables, bind books, grow in tech, and basically turn into a lifestyle-brand powerhouse overnight. Which sounds awesome in theory, but in practice? It’s overwhelming. Like, I’m out here building Rome and also trying to decide whether I should use Canva fonts or learn CSS.

And as if my to-do list wasn’t enough, life had its own little plot twist today: my front teeth broke. Yep. So now, part of that nice payday we just got is about to vanish into the world of veneers. Love that for me. On top of that, hubby and I bought a ton of Cricut supplies at Hobby Lobby only to realize… plot twist #2: I don’t actually own a Cricut. I have a Silhouette. Which, shocker, doesn’t work like a Cricut. So now, a Cricut just got bumped up on the “buy this week” list.

Oh, and let’s not forget—hubby and I didn’t get any days off together this week, which is a bummer. Fingers crossed that next week looks better. If we do get a day off, we’re torn between a cozy stay-at-home recharge or another day trip adventure. Either way, I’ll call it a win. We were supposed to get our schedule today, but of course… nope. Hopefully tomorrow.

For now, I’m just over here celebrating organized shelves, broken teeth, and a to-do list the size of Texas.

One-liner of the day: Shelves are organized, teeth are broken, and my brain is wearing too many hats—welcome to my lifestyle blog.
